Columbus Blue Jackets Assign Center Sean Collins to Springfield

Springfield, Mass. - The Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned center Sean Collins to the Springfield Falcons, Blue Jackets General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

Collins, who was most recently recalled on December 30, has collected two assists with two penalty minutes in eight games with Columbus this season. He has also recorded 10-9-19 and 14 penalty minutes with an even plus/minus rating in 28 games with the Falcons. Columbus' ninth pick, 187th overall, in the 2008 NHL Draft, the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan native has registered 0-3-3, eight penalty minutes and is -1 in 19 career NHL games. He has also notched 38-58-96, 72 penalty minutes and is +27 in 167 career AHL games, including 16-25-41, 34 penalty minutes and was +9 in 67 games last season.
