
Colts Activate Nikonchik

San Angelo, Texas --- The San Angelo Colts announced Saturday they have taken pitcher Stephen Nikonchik off the inactive list. The rookie righthander was placed on the inactive list on May 31 to make room for pitcher Chris Peacock.
Nikonchik has a 2.46 earned-run average in three relief appearances. He has allowed one run on a hit and struck out four batters in 3 2/3 innings. Nikonchik also has the lowest opposing batting average on the Colts' pitching staff at .091.
The Colts begin a two-game series against the Abilene Prairie Dogs tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Foster Field. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive a Colts' t-shirt, courtesy of 1st Community Federal Credit Union. Gates open at 6:05 p.m.
The San Angelo Colts are a member of United League Baseball who are in their 13th season. Tickets are on sale now, and available at the Colts' front office at Foster Field.
