College Park Skyhawks Unveil Home Court for Inaugural Season

November 14, 2019 - NBA G League (G League)
College Park Skyhawks News Release

COLLEGE PARK, GA - The College Park Skyhawks, the official G League affiliate of the Atlanta Hawks, unveiled the team's home court for their inaugural 2019-20 season. The team will first play on it Nov. 21, as they play host to the Delaware Blue Coats in a 7 p.m. start at the Gateway Center Arena @ College Park.

The court features the team logo, a Skyhawk surrounded by two stars and the team's name, at center court. Skyhawk red is used in both lanes and in blocks on the sidelines, while the team's secondary color, black, surrounds the court itself.  The team's home arena, "Gateway Center Arena," is emblazoned on the baselines in Skyhawk yellow. The Atlanta Hawks logo is featured twice, on opposite corners of the baseline.

State Farm®, a proud partner of the Skyhawks, has their brand logo featured twice on the court, in front of the visitors and home team's benches. A little over a year ago, the insurance market leader became the new naming rights partner to the Atlanta Hawks' home venue, State Farm Arena.

"The court design is classic," said Atlanta Hawks Chief Marketing Officer Melissa Proctor. "The Skyhawks colors give a nod to vintage Hawks basketball and we wanted to integrate that throughout the court. Our logo, the Skyhawk surrounded by two stars, represents the stars that continue to come out of College Park. When Skyhawks fans see the court, we want them to be excited for this new era of basketball and the future of College Park."

After compiling a 1-1 record on the road to open the season, the Skyhawks return to action on Nov. 16 against the Lakeland Magic.
