
Clutch & Rockets Power Dancers Headline Final Weekend Of Regular Season

MCALLEN, TEXAS - The NBA Development League Western Conference Champion Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced today that Houston Rockets Hall of Fame mascot Clutch the Bear and the Rockets Power Dancers will perform on Friday while Clutch will return on Saturday as the Vipers host the Dakota Wizards in back-to-back 7:30 p.m. games at State Farm Arena to close out the regular season.
Friday is Rockets affiliate night, presented by Chick-Fil-A. The Vipers will wear Rockets jerseys before auctioning them off after the game to benefit Channel 5 News Teach the Children.
The first 1,000 fans through the doors on Friday will receive Rockets bobbleheads, courtesy of Lone Star National Bank. Fans will also receive koozies, rally towels and thundersticks, courtesy of AT&T Real Yellow Pages, who will also be handing out new phone books in exchange for old ones at a table on the concourse. Doors open at 6:30.
Saturday is Fan Appreciation Night, presented by Lone Star National Bank and Chick-Fil-A. The first 500 kids in attendance will receive youth Vipers jerseys, courtesy of Lone Star National Bank. Doors open at 6:30.
The Vipers and Clutch are hosting a free pre-game Easter Egg hunt and tailgate party starting at 5:00 p.m. in the State Farm Arena parking lot. Fans will be able enjoy free food, courtesy of Pepper's at Uptown and Roosevelt's at 7.
