
Clips Run out of Gas in Second Half, Fall to Hustle

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Agua Caliente Clippers (17-18) ran out of gas in the second half and fall to the Memphis Hustle (25-10), 111-97, on Tuesday afternoon.
The Clippers started out the game strong, going into the half with a 60-58 advantage against the Western Conference-leading Hustle. The second half was a different tale as Memphis took control and held Agua Caliente to 16-of-50 (32 percent) shooting from the field for only 37 points. They would go on to lead by as much as 17 on their way to victory.
The Clippers were paced by James Palmer Jr.'s 24 points on 11-of-22 shooting from the field. Donte Grantham added a double-double with 10 points and 13 boards.
Memphis were led by Jarrod Uthoff's game-high 27 points and 13 rebounds.
The Clippers return to the hardwood on Thursday as they take on the Iowa Wolves. The showdown is slated to tip-off at 7 p.m. PST inside the Toyota Arena in Ontario, Calif.
