Clippers Fall To Celtics

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (12-12), the NBA G League affiliate of the LA Clippers, defeat the Maine Celtics (15-10), 120-108, on Sunday afternoon.

Xavier Moon (11-20 FG, 5-10 3PT) and Jason Preston (11-21 FG, 3-9 3PT) recorded 27 apiece for Ontario in the defeat.

The Celtics were led by Scottie Lindsey's game-high 31 points (8-10 FG, 6-8 3PM). Tony Snell (10 points, 11 rebounds) and Luka Samanic (19 points, 10 rebounds) each recorded double-doubles on the afternoon.

After leading by nine in the first quarter, Ontario found themselves down five at the half. Maine continued their separation with a strong second half, outscoring the Clippers 64-49 and leading by as much as 14 for the victory. Most of the Celtics' damage came from the foul line, where they outscored the Clippers 17-2 in the second half.

Next up, the Clippers head to Michigan to take on the Grand Rapids Gold on Tuesday evening. Tip-off is at 4 pm PST at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.
