Brooks and Johnson's Career Numbers Lead Knicks Past Bulls, 121-120

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, topped the Windy City Bulls 121-120, Sunday evening at NOW Arena. The win stops a four-game slide.

For the Knicks (9-15), Garrison Brooks (affiliate) rewrote his career-highs scoring 26 points on 57.9-percent and collecting 20 boards. Jalen Johnson (tryout) captured a 21-point career-high on 61.5-percent off the bench. Johnson also contributed five rebounds and five triples. Trevor Keels (returning rights) and Duane Washington Jr. (returning rights) both put up 16 points apiece. James Akinjo (affiliate) had 14 points and five assists. Justin Wright-Foreman finished with 12 points on 50-percent.

Carlik Jones had a game-high 33 points for Windy City (12-12). Marko Simonovic recorded a 26-point 21-rebound double-double. Henri Drell contributed 14 points, eight boards and five dimes.

The Bulls outscored the Knicks 35-27 in the first quarter while Westchester edged Windy City 35-31 in the second to only trail four by the break, 66-62. The Knicks pulled away by the end of the third 98-90. Westchester's largest lead of the game came with 3:54 to go in the contest, 118-105. Despite the Bulls' 15-3 run to close out the contest, the Knicks held on to snag the win.

Tuesday, March 7, the Knicks face the Stockton Kings for a 10 PM ET clash.
