OSHKOS, WI - The Agua Caliente Clippers (18-19) sailed to victory against the Wisconsin Herd (9-28), 121-92, on Friday night.
Agua Caliente, who only trailed in the opening minutes of the game, were in control the entire game. Benefiting from a 17-4 advantage in three-pointers made and outrebounding the Herd 62-46, including 21 offensive rebounds leading to 28 second chance points, the Clippers took a season-high 30-point lead in the final minute of the game.
Angel Delgado led the Clippers' efforts with a double-double of 21 points and 16 rebounds. Manu Lecomte added 19 points and 6 assists and Tyler Roberson contributed with double-double off the bench, recording 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The Herd were led by top scorer Christian Wood who recorded 25 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field to go along with 11 rebounds for the double-double. Trevon Duval added 17 points, six rebounds, and three assists.
The Clippers return home on Sunday for a matchup against the Austin Spurs. Agua Caliente got the best of Austin in their previous meeting, earning a narrow 125-122 victory. The game is slated to tip off at 3 p.m. PDT inside the Citizens Business Bank Area.
