Civc Centre Naming Rights Contest Winner Announced

September 25, 2009 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Ottawa 67's News Release

(Ottawa ON.): The winner of the Ottawa 67's Civic Centre Naming Rights Promotion was Urbandale Construction. As soon as is logistically possible the Ottawa Civic Centre will be known as Urbandale Construction Centre or a variant thereof.

"The final version of the name will be confirmed over the next few days after discussions with the owner and the City," said 67's Owner and Governor, Jeff Hunt. "After that, the re-branding process begins."

The naming rights promotion was announced this past summer to encourage Ottawa and area businesses to purchase season tickets and a suite night. Those that did received an entry into the contest, which provides the winner with naming rights to the Civic Centre until July 1, 2010. The Civic Centre will be known by the winning company's name in all 67's advertising and promotional materials, including signage and in-ice advertising.
