Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Announce 2003-04 Schedule Format
July 16, 2003 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Cincinnati RailRaiders News Release
CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Mighty Ducks, in conjunction with the American Hockey League, announced on Wednesday the schedule format for the 2003-2004 season. Each of the 28 teams will play an unbalanced 80-game schedule, including 40 home dates and 40 road dates and featuring traditional and regional rivalries.
Only 13 of the other 27 AHL teams will be on the Mighty Ducks schedule. Of the 80 regular-season games, 52 are against West Division opponents (10 with Chicago and Grand Rapids, eight with Houston, Milwaukee, San Antonio and Utah).
Cincinnati will also face traditional rival Cleveland eight times and Canadian foes Hamilton, Manitoba and Toronto four times each.
The Mighty Ducks, who remained in the Western Conference when the AHL realigned last week, will face only Philadelphia from the Eastern Conference.
