
CIF Defensive Rookie of the Year Signs with Oilers

Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa Oilers Football, proud member of the IFL, announced Monday the addition of Jordan Jones.
Jones (25) comes off a Defensive Rookie of the Year performance in 2022 with the Omaha Beef of the CIF, compiling 69 tackles, three being for loss, 1.5 sacks, a pass breakup, a blocked kick, and an interception. The Lawrenceville, Georgia native also played with the Green Bay Blizzard of the IFL in 2022, suiting up in two games and picking up three tackles.
"Jordan plays quick and is as tough as they come," said head coach Marvin Jones. "He has a great motor and is looking to build off of his fantastic 2022 performance."
Prior to his Beef and Blizzard career, the 6'1, 250 lbs. defensive standout played collegiately at the University of Western Alabama. The former Tiger made 211 tackles over 43 games, with 17 sacks, five forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries.
With this announcement, the Oilers announced roster now includes James Summers(QB), Deonte Cruse(OL/DL), Maliek Stephens(RB), Christopher Ivy(OL), Eric Sadler(DL), Jeremiah Harris(WR), William Auwae(OL), Tre Harvey(LB), Jamon Langford(WR), Kazon Edwards(LB), Tre King(RB), Bobby Froehlich (QB), Ja'Davien Williams(DL), Joshua Robinson(RB), Tyler Jones(WR), Myles Tease(WR), Caleb Wells(DL), Kevin Moore(DB), Kelvin Jenkins(DB), Gibson Ziah(DL), Stanley Dye(DL), Connor Flagel(DL), Patrick Barrett(OL), Kameron Prewitt(DB/WR), Ronald Salters(DB), Allen Edwards(DL), Joshua Crockett(WR), and Jordan Jones(LB/DE).
Additional players, Oilers Football owns IFL rights to include Larry Williams(OL, Las Vegas Vipers XFL).
The Oilers will begin their inaugural season in 2023.
