Chukars Rock Raptors in Fourth Inning to Take Series

IDAHO FALLS, ID -- The fourth inning was been the deciding frame for the third straight night. Chukars pummel Raptors reliever JD Underwood for seven runs in a series-taking 13-4 win over Ogden at Melaleuca Field.

Idaho Falls (10-11) fell behind 2-0, but after a run came across in the third, the team exploded in the fourth. Jeckkson Flores doubled off Underwood (1-2) to start the inning. After back-to-back walks loaded the bases, Wander Franco's ground ball single to left scored two runs. An infield single by Cesar Gonzalez added one run more run, and once again loaded the bases. DonAndre Clark laced a single to center field to add two more tallies. Underwood left the game, but the runs kept coming. Ogden's (7-14) Brock Stewart threw a wild pitch that scored a run and moved Clark to third base. DonAndre came in on a single by Valenzuela. By the time the inning was over, the Greybirds plated seven runs on six hits.

Jake Newberry (2-0) picked up his second win as a starter, the only two wins Idaho Falls' starting staff has. The right-hander allowed only two runs in five innings of work.

The Chukars offense struck again in the seventh. Ryan O'Hearn reached on a single to increase his hit streak to ten games. He would score on a wild pitch. Mike Hill would later launch his second home run of the series, a three run blast.

Ryan O'Hearn went 2 for 4 with three runs scored, finishing the home slate against the Raptors 8-11 with a home run, five runs, and three runs batted in. During his ten game hit streak, he's batting 19 for 39.

Idaho Falls has an off day tomorrow before begin a four game series at Billings.
