Barrie Colts News Release

Barrie, ON- The Barrie Colts are encouraging fans to bring non-perishable food items and toys to Thursday's game when the Colts host Bud Stefanski and the Toronto St. Michael's Majors for the first time this season at the Barrie Molson Centre (7:30 p.m.).

Barrie Christmas Cheer will have drop-off locations at all entrances to the Molson Centre arena. All donated items will be used to assemble over 1,100 Christmas hampers to be distributed to Simcoe County residents that will need some assistance this Christmas.

Colts players, coaches and staff this holiday season have adopted a family as part of the Barrie Food Bank's "Adopt A Family" Program. The Colts are raising money to buy food, gifts and amenities for their underprivileged family. Colts players at a recent team Christmas party decorated the trees. Tickets for the raffle will be on sale in front of the Coltsport Store, with a total of four trees to be won.
