
Barrie Minor Hockey Team Forgo Locks to Support Ailing Coach/Dad

Barrie, ON- In an effort to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society, the Barrie Colts today announced that the Barrie Minor Hockey Bantam âA" Team will be present at their game Thursday against the Toronto St. Michael's Majors to "Shave To Save", where they will shave their heads in support of their ailing coach, Bill Little, who is currently battling cancer.
Supporting both the team and the local Barrie & District Unit of the Canadian Cancer Society, contributions will remain in the community. Staff from First Choice Haircutters and 105.9 Jack FM on-air personality, Tom Schoch will do the shaving duties. Volunteer shavers will be easily identifiable pre-shave as their hair will be dyed the Barrie Colts team colours â Blue, Red & Yellow. It takes a lot for kids this age to alter their appearance, but the respect and caring they have for their coach as well as the opportunity to do something worthwhile for their community is all the motivation this team needs.
The Barrie Colts Minor Bantam âA' hockey team, sponsored by the Army, Navy, Air Force are part of the Barrie Minor Hockey Association (BMHA), which offers minor hockey programs for boys and girls who participate in "AA" "A" "AE" and house league programs representing the Community of Barrie. BMHA has been part of the Barrie Community for over 50 years is committed to developing our children for the future, both on and off the ice.
