Christian and Richards named ALL CHL

YOUNGSTOWN, OH - Youngstown SteelHounds Head Coach Kevin Kaminski, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League, is pleased to announce that SteelHounds forwards Jeff Christian and Chris Richards have been named to the 2006-2007 All CHL Team.

The "Veteran Connection" have trailed a blaze of glory this season as they rank one-two in total points, assists and +/- with Richards also ranking second in goals scored. At this point in the season Christian leads the league in assists with 73, points with 109 and +/- at +43 while Richards is second with 66 assists, 105 points and a +37 rating. A former Ohio State Buckeye, Chris Richards also has 39 goals which is second in the league just one back of the Arizona Sundogs Brent Kelly who joins the Hounds duo on the All CHL Team.

Head Coach Kevin Kaminski said, "Well deserved! These two guys come to work everyday and they really have fun playing the game. It shows every time they hit the ice."

The duo of Christian and Richards were also named finalists for the CHL Most Valuable Player which will be announced on Monday, March 26th and are in a close race against each other for the Joe Burton Scoring Champion award.

"They do all the little things and have all the intangibles, that is why they are battling for MVP and the points race and that is why they made ALL CHL," said Kaminski.
