The International League today announced that Norfolk pitcher CHRIS JONES has been named the league's Pitcher of the Week. Jones is the first Norfolk player to receive the weekly honor this season.

Jones earned a win in his lone start of the week, allowing one hit over seven shutout innings in a 4-3 win vs. Lehigh Valley on June 11. The 26-year-old southpaw struck out six without walking a batter and took a perfect game into the sixth inning before surrendering a one-out single.

In 15 games (seven starts) for Norfolk this season, Jones has gone 2-4 with a 2.24 ERA. The 2.24 ERA is the lowest among qualifying Orioles minor leaguers and ranks second in the International League.

Durham outfielder Corey Brown was named the league's Batter of the Week.

The Tides open a three-game series vs. the Columbus Clippers tonight at Harbor Park. Tonight is Turn Back the Clock Night at Harbor Park, as hot dogs, popcorn and sodas will be available for 50 cents each, courtesy of Smithfield Foods. The Tides will also wear throwback Norfolk Tars jerseys, emulating the uniforms worn by Norfolk when they played in the Piedmont League from 1906 to 1955.
