Today's Game

Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the first game of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Park (7:05 p.m.). The Bisons are coming off a 3-4 roadtrip and most recently, a 3-1 series win over the Charlotte Knights. Tonight's game is the first of a seven-game road swing that stops in Syracuse starting Friday.

The Bisons are 7-1 against Lehigh Valley this season, having outscored the IronPigs, 43-18. The Herd swept four games in Buffalo, April 16-19, and won three of four at Coca-Cola Park, April 23-26. Dating back to last season, the Herd has won 19 of their last 24 against the IronPigs.

Felix Doubront

LHP FELIX DOUBRONT makes seventh start of the season tonight. The southpaw fell in defeat last Wednesday to the RailRiders, allowing a season-worst five runs on seven hits in four innings of work. It was Doubront's first start this year allowing more than two runs. He has held opponents to a .216 average against.

Matt Hague

INF MATT HAGUE'S International League-best batting average of .348 is 13 points higher than any other hitter in the league. Hague also leads the IL in hits (81), doubles (19), total bases (114) and on-base pct. (.427). He also ranks 2nd in runs scored (35) and slugging pct. (.489) and is 3rd with 31 walks on the season.

Rob Rasmussen

LHP ROB RASMUSSEN has allowed just four hits in his last 10 outings (13.2 IP), throwing shutout baseball since May 16. With his time in Buffalo in 2013, Rasmussen has now thrown 71.0 innings as a Bison without allowing a home run. The southpaw has held opponents to a .157 average against with a .216 slugging pct.

Triple-A rookie INF ANDY BURNS ranks tied for 9th in the International League with a .305 batting average...LHP MATT BOYD allowed just one earned run and struck out eight in 7.0 innings in his Triple-A debut yesterday. Boyd had an Eastern League-best 1.10 ERA before his promotion...OF CALEB GINDL is 10 for his last 26 (.385) with seven RBI in his last seven games.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays' (34-30) won their 11th straight with a 13-5 win over the Red Sox Sunday. Former Bison Ryan Goins homered and drove in five while Russell Martin had three hits and three runs scored. Toronto will take on the Mets from Citi Field tonight at 7:10 p.m.
