Club Deportivo Chivas USA News Release
CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, March 4, 2014) - Chivas USA announced today that the club's Youth Development Academy will hold player tryouts for the 1995-2002 categories on two consecutive Sundays, March 23 and 30. The tryouts will be held at Downey High School and John Anson Ford Park in Bell Gardens, respectively, as players between the ages of 12 and 19 will have the opportunity to showcase themselves in front of Chivas USA Youth Development Academy coaches.
The tryouts will be split by age groups with the eldest players (1999-2002) competing first on March 23. The remaining age groups involving years 1995 through 1998 will tryout the following Sunday, March 30.
Chivas USA is the standard for player development in Southern California, and is also recognized by U.S. Soccer Federation as one of the top 10 youth development academy programs in the country. The Red-and-White Academy is designed to provide maximum support to each player so they can concentrate on soccer development, personal growth, and learning to win on and off the field.
Registration fees are $75 and spots are limited, so advance registration is highly recommended. Aspiring soccer players can register using the link below and MUST present the waiver form at the time of check-in.
