RED-AND-WHITE RETURN TO THE HOME DEPOT CENTER THIS SATURDAY AGAINST FC DALLAS: After two away matches and a two week break for the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, Chivas USA will return to The Home Depot Center this Saturday, June 26, when the team faces FC Dallas at 7:30 p.m. PT. At the moment, FC Dallas is just two point ahead of the Red-and-White in the Western Conference, holding a record of 2-2-6. The June 26 match will include a special 'Kids Pack' offer, giving fans a ticket for a child 16 and younger free with the purchase of an adult ticket. CHIVAS USA U-16 TEAM PREPARES FOR DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY PLAYOFFS: The Chivas USA Youth Teams have finished the Development Academy regular season, and after compiling a 14-8-7 (W-L-T) record, the Chivas USA Under-16 Team has qualified for the playoffs. A total of 32 teams from the age group made the postseason, and the Red-and-White were drawn into a group with the Dallas Texans, Baltimore Bays Chelsea, and Kansas City Wizards, and will face the teams this weekend at Bryan Park Soccer Complex in Greensboro, N.C. In the 2010 Development Academy season, the Chivas USA U-18 team finished in fourth place of the SoCal Division of the Development Academy's West Conference with an 9-7-0 record. BORNSTEIN BLOGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA AS UNITED STATES GEARS UP FOR FINAL GROUP STAGE MATCH: Chivas USA captain Jonathan Bornstein is currently with the United States National Team in South Africa for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and the U.S. started its participation in the tournament with a pair of draws, first a 1-1 result against England and then a come-from-behind 2-2 tie with Slovenia. 'CHIVAS AT THE PARK L.A.' CONTINUES THIS SATURDAY, JULY 10 AT GRIFFITH STADIUM IN LOS ANGELES: Chivas USA continues the popular 'Chivas at the Park L.A.' program, and next up into the series of soccer clinics taking place in various parks throughout Los Angeles will be a session on Saturday, July 10 at Griffith Stadium at 3401 Riverside Drive in Los Angeles. The clinics, which offer participating boys and girls ages 5-15 the opportunity to learn soccer techniques and practice drills that highlight teamwork in an environment that promotes the importance of fitness for the entire family, cost just $5 and include 90 minutes of soccer instruction, a Chivas at the Park t-shirt, and a certificate of completion. 'MARCH TO THE MATCH' WITH BAND OF THE GAME AND FANS STARTS AT 6:30 ON SATURDAY, JUNE 26: A new tradition has come to The Home Depot Center in 2010, with Chivas USA fans, the Union Ultras supporters group, and the Band of the Game (from Franklin High School), all gathering for the 'March to the Match.' With everyone making noise and getting ready for the match, all fans are encouraged to join the group when it leaves from Lot 11 at 6:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, June 26, continuing this new event which will occur prior to every home match the Red-and-White play. 'PRACTICE IN THE COMMUNITY' HELD IN FRONT OF HUNDREDS OF FANS IN POMONA: Chivas USA held its second 'Practice in the Community' of 2010 at the Veterans Soccer Complex in Pomona on Tuesday, June 15, in front of an enthusiastic group of hundreds of local fans. Chivas USA President and CEO Shawn Hunter, as well as the full Red-and-White squad, thanked fans for going to the event, which was hosted by the City of Pomona. In addition to a practice session of Chivas USA's first-team squad, fans also had the opportunity to take photos, get autographs and meet players. CHIVAS USA TO HOST U.S. OPEN CUP GAME AT TITAN STADIUM IN FULLERTON NEXT TUESDAY: Chivas USA will play its third round U.S. Open Cup match at Titan Stadium on the campus of Cal State Fullerton at 7:30 p.m. PT next Tuesday, June 29. The Red-and-White will host the winner of the second round match between the Austin Aztex and the Arizona Sahuaros, a game which will be played tomorrow evening. 'SANGRE NUEVA' TRYOUTS THIS FRIDAY IN BAKERSFIELD: Chivas USA will hold 'Sangre Nueva' Youth Team tryouts this Friday at the Kern County Soccer Park in Bakersfield. Players born between 1992 and 1997 will have a chance to show their skills in front of representatives from both Chivas USA and Chivas de Guadalajara, and there will also be an open tryout for older players.
