PHILADELPHIA (Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014) - Chivas USA control the No. 20 pick in Thursday's 2014 MLS SuperDraft beginning at 9 a.m. (PT) at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. The Red-and-White do not possess a pick in the First Round and will open up the Second Round of selections. Thursday's SuperDraft will mark the first with newly-appointed Head Coach Wilmer Cabrera at the helm of the Rojiblancos.

The first two rounds of the SuperDraft will be broadcast live on ESPNews and WatchESPN, with the final two rounds held on Tuesday, Jan. 21 via conference call. MLS will be hosting a live tracker here, where fans will be able to follow the complete event.

The Goats have had success with their picks in the later stages of the Draft, as the club selected defender Jonathan Bornstein with the No. 37 pick in 2006. The UCLA product went on to become one of the league's top defenders while leading the Rebaño Angelino to four-straight playoff appearances. Bornstein eventually became a key contributor with the U.S. Men's National Team and was part of the 2010 World Cup squad.

Chivas' lone selection in last year's SuperDraft, Carlos Alvarez, was selected second overall and established himself as a key starter early in the 2013 season. The midfielder and Los Angeles native made 26 starts in 29 appearances in his rookie campaign after a stellar career at the University of Connecticut. The attacker tallied a pair of goals to go along with the with his three assists.

Chivas USA will kick off the club's 10th MLS season when they host Eastern Conference side the Chicago Fire at The StubHub Center on Sunday, March 9, starting at 12 p.m. (PT).
