Chihuahuas Get Bats Back, Craig Leads 9-1 Hit Parade

Allen Craig went 5-for-5 with two home runs, a double and five RBIs in the El Paso Chihuahuas' 9-1 win over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox Wednesday afternoon. Craig was the first Chihuahuas player with five hits in a game since Christian Villanueva on May 19, 2017 versus Oklahoma City. Craig's 12 total bases Wednesday set a Chihuahuas team record.

Chihuahuas starter Walker Lockett had one of his best starts of the season Wednesday, allowing only one run in seven innings. Forrestt Allday reached base four times in the leadoff spot for El Paso on two hits, a walk and a hit by pitch. The Chihuahuas are now 34-11 when scoring first.

One day after Colorado Springs collected 20 hits, the Chihuahuas held the Sky Sox to only five hits Wednesday. The two teams have split the first two games of the series.
