Chihuahuas Bow to Chasers

The Omaha Storm Chasers strung together three consecutive singles in the bottom of the ninth inning and came back to beat the El Paso Chihuahuas 6-5 Thursday night at Werner Park. The walk-off hit was a two-run single by Adalberto Mondesi against Chihuahuas reliever Kazuhisa Makita.

The Chihuahuas trailed with two outs and two strikes twice in the top of the ninth inning before Nick Schulz' bases-loaded walk and Forrestt Allday's two-run single put El Paso in front, 5-4. Allday went 2-for-5 Thursday and went 6-for-13 in the Omaha series. Allen Craig was 1-for-3 with his second home run of the series and eighth of the season.

The Chihuahuas have scored the first run in four straight games. Omaha pitching struck out 16 Chihuahuas Thursday. All three games of the series were tied entering the eighth inning and were decided by one run.
