From the Notes
History Against Tacoma: The Sounds and Rainiers series dates back to 1998 with the Rainiers holding a 52-42 advantage. Nashville has not won a series against Tacoma since 2012 when the Sounds took three of four at Greer Stadium. They have split the last eight games with the Rainiers.
Beau Knows: Catcher Beau Taylor will play in his seventh consecutive game night and make his sixth straight start. Taylor has hit safely in three straight (5-for-11, 2 runs, 2 RBI, 2 doubles, 1 walk). He hits sixth and is behind the plate this evening. Catcher Josh Phegley was recalled by Oakland June 5 and catcher Jason Goldstein was transferred from Advanced-A Stockton the same day. Catcher Bruce Maxwell was optioned to Nashville yesterday.
Innings For All: Ben Bracewell's six-inning start last night was the third consecutive game in which a Sounds starter went at least six innings. Eric Jokisch went six on June 5 and James Naile went seven on June 6. It's the second time this year Nashville starters have gone at least six in three straight games. Naile (7), Frankie Montas (8) and Daniel Gossett (6) did it May 13-15 against Memphis.
