Chiefs Set For Home Opener

Johnstown, PA- The Johnstown Chiefs will host the Long Beach Ice Dogs Saturday night at the War Memorial Arena, in what promises to be one of the most memorable opening nights in team history. Game time is at 7:05 p.m.
Former NHL all-star goaltender Arturs Irbe is scheduled to make his Chiefs debut after being assigned Thursday from the Carolina Hurricanes. Prior to the game former Johnstown Jet legend Galen Head will have his #8 retired.
This will be the first regular season game in the newly renovated Cambria County War Memorial Arena.
The first 1,500 people through the gate will receive a free magnetic Chiefs schedule courtesy of Concurrent Technologies Corporation. Tickets for the home opener are available at the War Memorial Box Office or by calling (814) 536-5156 or 1-800-CHF-TIXX.
