The Spokane Chiefs take a season high eight game winning streak into three games in four nights this week. The stretch will begin tonight in Everett when Spokane takes on the Silvertips for the second time in as many Wednesdays. The Chiefs are at home on Friday, versus Chilliwack, and Saturday against Kootenay.
Spokane trails the Tri-City Americans for first place in the U.S. Division by six points with three games in hand. The Chiefs are in third place in the Western Conference.
FANTASY HOCKEY NIGHT FRIDAY PRESENTED BY RED ROBIN
Friday, January 30th when Spokane hosts the Chilliwack Bruins the Chiefs and Red Robin are teaming up for the seventh consecutive year to turn the Arena into a giant fantasy hockey game using Chiefs players.
As fans enter the gates, each person will receive a Red Robin Fantasy Hockey card with the name of two Chiefs players and an offer from Red Robin. If either player featured on the card scores during the game, their card will instantly become a coupon valid for a special offer from Red Robin. BOBBLE CUP GIVEAWAY SATURDAY
On Sunday, May 25th, 2008 the Spokane Chiefs won their second ever Memorial Cup but history was truly made in the post-game celebration when the trophy snapped in half in the hands of Captain Chris Bruton.
This Saturday, January 31st when the Chiefs host the Kootenay Ice, Spokane will pay tribute to the Chiefs winning, and subsequently breaking, the Memorial Cup when they hand out the first ever Bobbling Memorial Cup presented by Coca-Cola, KXLY 4 and Rock 94 ½. The "Bobble Cup" is a 6" tall by 2.5" wide replica of the actual trophy that features a bobbling cup at the top...(more)
PAGE AHEAD BOOK DRIVE NEXT 4 HOME GAMES
The Spokane Chiefs and Washington's Lottery will team up for the next four home games to help collect books for Page Ahead, a children's literacy program.
Fans are encouraged to bring a new children's book to the game beginning on Friday, January 30th when Spokane hosts the Chilliwack Bruins to help support Page Ahead. Fans will receive a $1 Washington's Lottery Scratch ticket for each new children's book donated.
The book drive will run through Washington's Lottery Match 4 Night on Sunday, February 8th when the Chiefs host the Kelowna Rockets. Books will be collected at the front gates.
