Spokane Chiefs News Release
The Spokane Chiefs will help bag groceries at the 400 S. Thor Fred Meyer on Monday, February 2nd from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and help collect food for Second Harvest Inland Northwest.
All available players will be present, half of the first hour and half for the second hour. Boomer the Bear will be there for the entire duration.
Second Harvest is the pioneering organization that leads the fight against hunger in the Inland Northwest. Today, partnerships with more than 300 neighborhood food banks and meal centers make it possible for Second Harvest to provide food to more than 48,000 hungry people each week. Each month, Second Harvest distributes more than 1 million pounds of food throughout its vast service area. Second Harvest's food helps fill the nutritional gap for people in poverty, the working poor, elderly and disabled people on very low fixed incomes, and children and families in temporary crisis.
All media is invited to attend.
