Spokane Chiefs News Release
When it comes to talking about the virtues of the Spokane Chiefs-Tri-City Americans rivalry the word "respect" isn't one that has been thrown around for the last 20-years. In the past, it has been a love- hate thing, they loved to hate each other. But as the two are set to face each other in the Western Conference Championship series it is something that each team has for one another.
"We have a lot of respect from one organization to the other and it's a respect that is earned," Chiefs Head Coach Bill Peters said.
The Americans bench boss, Don Nachbaur, agreed, "I think each team pushed each other this year to get better and when you face them you always have to be at your best."
The Chiefs and Americans will begin the Championship series on Friday night at 7:00 in Tri- City. The game can be seen live on Comcast channel 78 and heard live on 1510 KGA with the voice of the Chiefs Mike Boyle.
Tickets for games three and four on Monday and Tuesday are on sale now at the Chiefs office by calling (509) 535-PUCK or at TicketsWest at (800) 325-SEAT.
