
Chiefs Acquire Proft from Brandon

The Spokane Chiefs have acquired 17-year-old Carter Proft from the Brandon Wheat Kings in exchange for a fifth round bantam selection.
The left wing was originally selected by the Wheat Kings in the fifth round of the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft. Proft has appeared in 13 games this season and scored one goal with 10 penalty minutes. In 2010-11 he scored 10 goals and 16 points in 20 games with St. Albert of the Alberta Midget Hockey League.
The acquisition puts the Chiefs roster at 25; two goaltenders, nine defensemen and 14 forwards.
Proft will join the Chiefs for the weekend when they host the Tri-City Americans on Saturday and the Everett Silvertips on Sunday.
