Saskatoon Blades News Release
The Saskatoon Blades play host to the Calgary Hitmen tomorrow night in the first of two meetings between the teams this season.
It will be the second game in two nights for the team as they are taking on the Regina Pats tonight from the provincial capital.
The Blades are coming off of a 4-3 road win over the Prince Albert Raiders on Saturday night. Saskatoon jumped out to an early lead in the game as they led 3-1 after the first period. For the second straight game they also survived a late barrage by the opposition to win the game.
The win is the 9th of the season for Saskatoon as they moved to 9-4-0-1.
Last season these two teams met on four occasions with the Blades winning all four meetings. In those games, Saskatoon outscored Calgary 23-8.
Josh Nicholls led the charge among current Blades as he posted 1 goal and 8 assists in the four games. Jake Trask also had a few big games, registering 4 goals and 2 assists throughout the head to head matchups between the Blades and Hitmen.
The puck drop for the game goes at 7:05 Wednesday night from Saskatoon. If you can't make it to the game, make sure you tune in to 92.9 The Bull for the call of the game with Les Lazaruk.
