Spokane Chiefs News Release

Spokane, Wash. / Calgary - The Spokane Chiefs' 2021-22 regular season schedule was announced by the Western Hockey League on Wednesday, including all 34 home games to be played at Spokane Arena, beginning with Bud Light Opening Night versus the Tri-City Americans on Saturday, October 2.

"We're excited to face a full 34 game home schedule and anticipate playing in front of a full building this season," Chiefs President Mark Miles said.

In total, the Chiefs will play 68 regular season games-34 home and 34 away-from October 2021 to April 2022.

Spokane Arena will host 26 weekend home games, including 13 Fridays and 13 Saturdays. The remainder of the home schedule will take place on Tuesdays (four games) and Wednesdays (four).

"We're starting the season a little later in the calendar and have more weekend dates this year which is a benefit to our fans," Miles said.

The Chiefs will hold traditional promotional nights like Leinenkugel's Hocktoberfest (October date TBD) and the Teddy Bear Toss presented by TDS Fiber on Saturday, December 4th. Premium giveaways like the Coca-Cola Bobblehead Night, Shriners Hospitals for Kids lunch bag (for children 12 and under) and Numerica Piggy Bank Night will be announced at a later date.

The entirety of the Chiefs' schedule will feature exclusively U.S. Division and B.C. Division opponents. The team's longest road trip of the season will take place from January 21 through January 25 as they play four games-all against U.S. Division opponents-in five nights. Spokane will return to The Arena for their longest homestand of the season, spanning January 28 through February 5, when they'll play host for five consecutive games. The first half wraps-up with a road game at Everett on December 19 before the Chiefs open the second half at home against the Seattle Thunderbirds on December 28.

The Chiefs' complete 2021-22 promotional schedule will be released at a later date.

Ticket packages are currently on sale at the Chiefs office and available by calling (509) 535-PUCK. Individual tickets will go on sale in early September.
