
Chicago Sky Activate Rebekah Gardner; Waive Kaela Davis

CHICAGO - The Chicago Sky has waived Kaela Davis, the team announced today, allowing them to activate Rebekah Gardner.
Gardner joined the team on February 10, 2022 after signing her first WNBA training camp. After going undrafted out of UCLA in the 2012 WNBA Draft, Gardner has since played professionally with Spanish women's basketball club Spar CityLift Girona (2021-22), where she is averaging 13 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 28 minutes per game is 13 appearances with the team.
Davis departs the Sky after signing a training camp contract on March 14th, 2022. Davis was selected by the Dallas Wings with the tenth overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft. She spent three seasons (2017-19) with Dallas, where she averaged 6.0 points in 19.2 minutes in across 33 games in her most recent season with the team (2019). In 2020, Davis was picked up by the Atlanta Dream, appearing in two games across the season with the Dream at IMG in Florida.
The Sky will host the New York Liberty on Wednesday, May 11 at 7 p.m. CT at Wintrust Arena.
