
Chicago Fire FC Midfielder PrzemysÃâ¦Ãâaw Frankowski Called up to Poland National Team

CHICAGO -- Chicago Fire FC today announced that midfielder Przemysà âaw Frankowski has been called up to the Poland National Team for a training camp in Opalenica, Poland, ahead of EURO 2020. Frankowski will join his teammates for training camp today and final rosters for the tournament will be named by June 1.
The tournament, which was scheduled to take place in the summer of 2020, will take place June 11-July 11 across 11 cities in Europe. Poland was drawn into Group E for EURO 2020 along with Slovakia, Spain and Sweden. Poland will begin their EURO 2020 campaign against Slovakia on Monday, June 14 at 11:00 a.m. CT at Saint Petersburg Stadium in St. Petersburg, Russia. The team will then travel to Seville, Spain, to face Spain at the Estadio La Cartuja on 2:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, June 19. Poland will head back to St. Petersburg for the final match of Group E play, facing Sweden at 11:00 a.m. CT on Wednesday, June 23 at Saint Petersburg Stadium.
Frankowski, 26, has earned 10 caps for Poland, including six appearances (two starts) in UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying. The midfielder's first career goal for the senior team occurred in Poland's Euro 2020 qualifying match against North Macedonia on Oct. 13, 2019. Moments after entering the game, Frankowski scored to give Poland a 1-0 lead and helped guide the team to a 2-0 victory. With the win, Poland clinched a berth in the Euros.
