
Chicago Fire FC Announce 2022 Preseason Schedule

CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC today announced its preseason schedule ahead of the 2022 MLS regular season.
The Fire will kick off preseason in Orlando, Fla., from Jan. 17-Feb. 3 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate. The second half of preseason training will take place Feb. 6-19 at the St. David's Performance Center in Austin, Texas.
While in Orlando, the Fire will face off against Minnesota United FC in a preseason match on Saturday, Jan. 29, at 12:00 p.m. CT. The match will take place at the Omni Resort at ChampionsGate.
Chicago will then travel to Texas on Feb. 6, where the team will compete against three MLS opponents. The Fire will first face Toronto FC at 11:00 a.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 12. Four days later, Chicago will take on FC Dallas in a preseason Brimstone Cup match at 11:00 a.m. CT on Wednesday, Feb. 16. The Fire will close out its second phase of preseason training with a contest against hosts Austin FC on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 12:00 p.m. CT.
All three matches will take place at Austin FC's St. David's Performance Center and will be closed to the public. Streaming information for preseason matches in Orlando and Austin will be provided at a future date.
The Fire's preseason training camp will feature comprehensive health and safety protocols, including regular testing of players, coaches and staff for COVID-19. Additionally, the health and safety protocol will prohibit media access to training sessions and matches, restricting access to players and essential staff only. Chicago Fire Communications will provide recorded interviews, b-roll footage and photography. Players and coaches will also be available to media members virtually on a regular basis.
The Fire will kick off its 25th season in MLS on Saturday, Feb. 26, at Inter Miami CF (5:00 p.m. CT), before playing its 2022 home opener on Saturday, March 5 against Orlando City SC at Soldier Field. Scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. CT, the match against Orlando City will mark the earliest home opener in Club history.

Feb. 3 - Return to Chicago
Feb. 6 - Travel to Austin, Texas
