Chicago Fire FC News Release
CHICAGO - Chicago Fire FC and Wintrust Financial Corporation today announced a multi-year partnership that includes the exclusive pitch entitlement for Chicago Fire FC matches played at Soldier Field. As the Fire kick off the Club's 25th season this Saturday, the home of the Fire will be Wintrust Pitch at Soldier Field, effective immediately.
"As Chicago's bank, Wintrust is the perfect partner to showcase the Fire at Soldier Field with the entitlement of Wintrust Pitch," said Fire Chief Strategy Officer Jeroen van den Bergh. "This partnership with Wintrust connects two organizations that share a commitment to tradition, passion and honor in the city we both call home. We're thrilled to work together to continue to build a first of its kind partnership for the Club and together invest in our community."
In addition to the naming rights of the pitch, Wintrust becomes the "Official Banking Partner" of the Chicago Fire. The partnership consists of several marquee signage locations, including the retaining wall and player tunnel, plus signage through Soldier Field, including in-stadium LED signage.
"We appreciate the chance to align with iconic Chicago brands," said Wintrust Founder & CEO Edward J. Wehmer. "This opportunity is another way Wintrust reflects the interests of the communities we serve, and the Chicago Fire are an ideal partner. Pairing that with an exceptional location like Soldier Field is an exciting possibility that we look forward to collaborating with the Fire on as they celebrate their 25th year."
Wintrust is a financial holding company with assets of approximately $50 billion whose common stock is traded on the NASDAQ Global Select Market under the symbol WTFC. Wintrust operates fifteen community bank subsidiaries, with over 170 banking locations located in the greater Chicago and southern Wisconsin market areas.
