Chicago Fire Continue Homestand against Columbus Crew SC

The Chicago Fire (0-2-1, 1 point) continue the three-game homestand when they host Columbus Crew SC (3-1-1, 10 points) at Toyota Park on Saturday, April 7 at 7:30 p.m. CT (MLS Live/Univision Chicago 1200AM).

CHICAGO FIRE vs. COLUMBUS CREW SC

The Fire are 25-18-18 all-time in regular season matches against Columbus Crew SC, including a 15-6-10 record in matches played at home.

Fire assistant coach Eric Gehrig began his professional career with Crew SC and appeared in 46 regular season and two post season matches from 2011-14.

Crew SC assistant coach Josh Wolff represented the Fire for the first five seasons of his professional playing career. Wolff appeared in 84 regular season matches, scoring 32 goals and adding 15 assists from 1998-2002.

JOHAN KAPPELHOF RECEIVES U.S. GREEN CARD

The Chicago Fire announced Monday that defender Johan Kappelhof has received his U.S. Green Card, granting him permanent resident status in the United States.

Kappelhof will no longer occupy an International Roster Spot on the Fire roster.

CHICAGO FIRE LAUNCH BASTIAN SCHWEINSTEIGER BOBBELHEAD TICKET PACKAGE

The Chicago Fire have launched the Bastian Schweinsteiger Bobblehead Ticket Package, offering fans 4-packs of tickets to both the April 7 and July 11 home matches along with a limited-edition Bastian Schweinsteiger bobblehead figurine.

Fans have the option to choose from Club, Premier or Corner Kick seat locations for their pair of 4-packs. Fans who order the Bastian Schweinsteiger Bobblehead Ticket Package will be able to pick up their bobblehead at the July 11 match against the Philadelphia Union.

CHICAGO FIRE TO HOST FIFTH ANNUAL SOCCER & STYLE FASHION SHOW

The Chicago Fire Soccer Club will host the fifth annual Soccer & Style fashion show at Galleria Marchetti (825 West Erie Street, Chicago, IL 60642) on Wednesday, May 2. Doors open at 6 p.m. CT with the runway show beginning at 7 p.m.

Hosted by the Chicago Fire Foundation, this year's event will feature Fire players Mo Adams, Jon Bakero, Brandt Bronico, Jonathan Campbell, Diego Campos, Stefan Cleveland, Drew Conner, Rafael Ramos and Richard Sanchez walking the runway in the season's hottest looks from Banana Republic and Lululemon Athletic.

Tickets, which are $80 and include event entry, food and three drink tickets, are available here.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Chicago Fire Foundation. In 2017 the fashion show raised more than $20,000 for the Foundation and its award winning P.L.A.Y.S. (Participate, Learn, Achieve, Youth, Soccer) Program.
