Cristian Penilla Named to MLS Team of the Week for Second Straight Week
April 2, 2018 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
New England Revolution News Release
Cristian Penilla assisted on Teal Bunbury's opening goal, drew the red card that reduced the Houston Dynamo to 10 men, and sealed three points for the New England Revolution with his first MLS goal - an individual stunner - in Saturday night's 2-0 victory. That, unsurprisingly, was enough to earn the Ecuadoran winger a spot on the MLS Team of the Week for the second straight week.
Matt Turner, meanwhile, earned a spot on the bench for his standout performance, making six saves - several of them spectacular - to keep the first clean sheet of his MLS career.
