
Cheetahs Split Series with Kalamazoo

Crestwood, IL- The Cook County Cheetahs (10-11) was unable to send the largest crowd of the season, 2,215, home happy as they lost 7-5 to the Kalamazoo Kings (9-15). Starting pitcher Adam Palmer (1-4) took the loss, going 8 innings and surrendering four earned runs. Picking up the win in relief of starter Dan D'Amato was Lee Naplin (2-0). The leading hitter tonight for the Cheetahs was Adam O'Reel as he drove in two runs on a single in the bottom of the fourth inning.
"It was a good game overall. We made some mistakes that we normally don't make. But the one good thing about baseball is that we will be back out on the field tomorrow and try it again," said Cheetahs Manager Mike Moore.
