
Modica, Conner Lead River City to 3-1 Win over Evansville

Mike Conner's 2-run homer gave River City a 3-run lead, which was enough for Greg Modica (3-2) as he pitched a complete game 3-1 win over the Evansville Otters on Friday night at Bosse Field.
Conner finished the game 2-4, adding a double to his homer. Meanwhile, Lucas Taylor added two hits, while Corey Jager went 1-4 with an RBI, giving him 5 RBI in the two games at Evansville.
Modica allowed just 1 run on six hits to Evansille with 9 strikeouts and no walks. Jeremy Lewis (0-1) was handed the loss, allowing three runs in only 4 2/3 innings of work.

The River City Rascals are back from their lengthy road trip, and they're looking forward to playing in front of the hometown fans! On Saturday, it's a doubleheader vs. Chillicothe starting at 6:05pm.

The first 1,000 fans on Sunday will receive a Rascals Ice Cream Bowl courtesy of Blue Bunny Ice Cream. St. Louis Post-Dispatch presents family night, where fans can purchase 6 GA tickets for 6 bucks with a coupon from the paper! Sunday's doubleheader against Chillicothe starts at 5:05pm.
