Connecticut Sun News Release

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (June 24, 2010) - The Connecticut Sun will begin selling raffle tickets to win a Harley-Davidson motorcycle during Friday's game against the Phoenix Mercury at Mohegan Sun Arena.

Raffle tickets - already on sale at Mohegan Sun Summer Essentials - will be available for $20 each at the Mohegan Sun Arena merchandise stand on Friday night. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit Channel 3 Kid's Camp and the Connecticut Sun Foundation.

"It's obviously very important for us to be able to raise funds for two great charitable organizations," Sun Vice President and General Manager Chris Sienko said. "Channel 3 Kids Camp has done so many great things over the past 100 years, and although the Connecticut Sun Foundation is still in its formative years, we are very proud of what it has meant to our local communities."

First prize is a 2002 Harley-Davidson FLSTFI Fat Boy that has never been driven. This is a 1450 CC, 2-cylinder bike that has been dressed and modified with custom paint and chrome. It is valued at $14,000.

Second prize is four courtside seats to a 2010 or 2011 Connecticut Sun regular season game, redeemable at Mohegan Sun Arena. It includes a post-game meeting with a Sun player and is valued at $750.

Third prize is four tickets to a 2010 or 2011 Sun regular season game, redeemable at Mohegan Sun Arena, and a basketball autographed by the entire team. This package is valued at $250.

The Harley Davidson will be at the Channel 3 Kids Camp Motorcycle Benefit ride on Sunday, July 11th from 1-5 p.m. at the Sun Valley Beach Resort in Stafford Springs. It will also be at the Channel 3 Kids Camp Reunion on July 24th, from 1-5 p.m., in Andover, CT. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at both events.

The raffle drawing will be held at halftime of the game between the Sun and Indiana Fever on August 15th.
