
Candice Wiggins Undergoes Successful Surgery

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced that guard Candice Wiggins underwent successful surgery today to repair a ruptured Achilles tendon in her left leg. The surgery was performed by Glenn B. Pfeffer, MD at Cedars-Sinai Medical center in Los Angeles, CA. Wiggins will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2010 season. The injury occurred with 8.0 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter of Tuesday's Lynx vs. New York Liberty game.
In eight games this season, Wiggins averaged 13.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 29.8 minutes per game.
