Silver Stars Present $2,500 Check to Animal Care Services Saturday

SAN ANTONIO, June 25, 2010 - The San Antonio Silver Stars will present a $2,500 check to Animal Care Services during the annual Hoops & Hounds Night Presented by Carl's Jr. on Saturday, June 26, as San Antonio hosts the Minnesota Lynx at the AT&T Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

The funds for Animal Care Services were raised by way of a Silver Stars auction which featured Stars memorabilia, jerseys and other team items.

Animal Care Services is dedicated to making San Antonio a city in which every animal receives responsible care. Their five-year strategic plan will help guide the community to achieve a "No Kill" goal by 2012.
