Checkers win on Jamieson goal in OT

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers defeated the Toledo Storm 2-1 in overtime in front of 9,844 fans Saturday night at St. Lawrence Homes Home Ice at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Dusty Jamieson scored the game winner on a one timer from Mike Bayrack and Kenton Smith at the 2:43 mark of the extra frame.

Checkers goalie Jeff Glass earned First Star honors after making 31 saves on 32 shots. Glass picked up his 11th win of the season.

Jamieson, who was named the In Glas Co. ECHL player of the Week for his efforts last week, was named the Second Star of the game. Bayrack earned the Third Star of the game after scoring the first goal of the game and assisting on the game winner.

Charlotte scored on 1-of-6 power play chances (Jamieson's goal) while Toledo was scoreless on seven advantages. Toledo finished the night with 32 shots on goal while Charlotte fired 31 shots at Drew MacIntyre who took the overtime loss.
