CHECKERS DUMP STINGRAYS IN SHOOTOUT, 2-1
Charlotte, N.C. - Checkers defenseman Michael Busto tied the game with just over a minute to go in regulation and Charlotte struck twice in the shootout for a 2-1 victory over the visiting South Carolina Stingrays.

CHECKERS STRIKE LATE FOR WIN AGAINST GLADIATORS
Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers had trouble holding a lead in the third period but Tomas Zaborsky's goal with seven seconds left would be enough to secure a victory against the Gwinnett Gladiators.

CHECKERS STOMP ON JACKALS, WIN 4-2
Charlotte, N.C. - The Checkers came off a long six game road trip to the delight of their fans and the team wouldn't let the home crowd down as they defeated the Elmira Jackals by a score of 4-2.

CHECKERS NOTES
-Goaltender Maxime Daigneault has won five of his past six starts after starting the season losing six of seven games.
-Matthew Ford's 11 game point streak was finally snapped Sunday night in a 2-1 victory over the Stingrays. Ford has totaled a team leading 12 goals in as many games this season with the Checkers.
-Ford was awarded his second penalty shot in as many nights on Sunday but didn't convert as he did the previous night against Gwinnett. Ford has received three penalty shots this season and has scored twice.
-Checkers forward Mike Bayrack is riding a seven game assist streak garnering nine helpers in his past seven games.
-Checkers center Peter Tsimikalis has scored six points (3g, 3a) in his past five games.
