Stanley Cup Comes to Dayton for Christmas

Dayton, OH- The Dayton Bombers announced today that the Stanley Cup, the oldest and most prestigious trophy in professional sports, will be on display at their games on Friday, December 26 and Saturday, December 27 at the Ervin J. Nutter Center.

The Stanley Cup, the championship trophy of the National Hockey League, will make its second appearance in Dayton in four years, last visiting in 2005.

Fans can get their picture taken with the Cup with a requested minimum $5 donation to the Kyle Cannon Fund, benefitting the Ohio high school freshman who was recently paralyzed in a hockey game in Kettering.

Action returns to the Nutter Center after Christmas for three games!

Friday, December 26 at 7:30 p.m. against Cincinnati the Bombers have $5 Silver level tickets for kids 12 and under at the box office.

Then on Saturday, December 27 at 7:30 p.m. as the Bombers take on Reading, the first 2,000 fans will receive a free team poster, courtesy of Kettering Health Networks.

Finally the Wheeling Nailers come to town on Sunday, December 28 at 5:00 p.m. as the Bombers host "Kyle Cannon Fundraiser Night" to raise money for the Cannon family. There will be a silent auction featuring items from the NHL, AHL, ECHL and collegiate teams. An extended one hour skate with the team will immediately follow the game.
