(Southaven, MS) -- The Mississippi RiverKings of the Central Hockey League (CHL) have announced that forward Bobby Chaumont has won the league's Oakley Three-Star Award for the month of November. Chaumont will receive a gift from Oakley sunglasses for his performances.

Chaumont currently leads the CHL Three-Star Standings with 25 points, having been named the game's number one star five times this year.

In November, Bobby earned the number one star after a two goal, three point performance in a 6-2 win at Wichita on November 8th. Chaumont also picked up the number one star for a two-goal effort in Mississippi's 3-2 victory over the Oklahoma City Blazers on November 15th, a one-goal (game-winner) performance in a 3-1 win at home against Tulsa on November 18th, and a two-goal performance in the RiverKings' come-from-behind 5-3 victory at Laredo on November 25th.

Chaumont is a 6-foot, 200-pound native of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, and is playing in his first season with Mississippi and his second season in the Central Hockey League. He played all 64 games of the 2006-07 season with the Laredo Bucks, scoring 27 goals and adding 33 assists for 60 points in those 64 appearances.

With the RiverKings this season, Chaumont leads the team in goal scoring with 12 in 19 contests, to go with 33 penalty minutes. Bobby has scored six power play goals to lead Mississippi in that category, one shorthanded tally, and has scored the game-winning goal three times.

Chaumont's hockey background includes 26 games in the ECHL last season with the Dayton Bombers, where he scored five goals and added eight assists. Prior to the start of his professional career, Chaumont played one season of Canadian collegiate hockey at Dalhousie University, and played junior hockey with the Sudbury Wolves of the Ontario Hockey League, where he set an OHL record for playing in every game of his four-year junior career, a total of 272 appearances.
