FORT MILL, S.C. - The Charlotte Knights and Chicago White Sox have agreed on a four year extension of a Player Development Agreement between the two clubs. The new extension will make the Knights the White Sox Triple-A affiliate through the 2014 season.
"We are very proud and excited to continue our affiliation with the Chicago White Sox," Knights Managing Partner and President Don Beaver said. "We have had the pleasure of being part of the development of a number of players for the White Sox for the last 12 years."
The Charlotte Knights have been the Chicago White Sox Triple-A affiliate since 1999. The Knights were International League champions in their first season as the White Sox affiliate. The Knights also reached the post-season in 2006 when they won the International League's South Division.

"We have enjoyed a great partnership with the entire Knights organization since 1999 and look forward to continuing it into the future. Every time a White Sox team takes the field, you see the impact the Charlotte Knights have made in helping our organization win championships."

"Beaver Sports Properties has enjoyed a long standing positive relationship with the Jerry Reinsdorf and the White Sox dating back to 1993 with Hickory. We look forward to our partnership for many years to come," Beaver said.
