Atlantic City, NJ – Jake Moreland held the Charlotte Checkers scoreless as the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies defeated the Checkers in front of 3, 845 fans in ECHL action on Saturday.

The Bullies (26-9-1) came out of the locker room on fire in the second period quickly scoring on a deflection by Stefan Rivard at 0:18 in the second. Rivard scored his second goal of the game, a power play goal, on a one-time shot from the left circle at 11:08. Josh Prudden tallied his 7th goal of the season at 13:06 assisted by Sam Paolini and Preston Mizzi to bring the score to 3-0 at the end of the second. Scott Horvath blasted the puck past the pads of Checkers goalie Scott Meyer at 16:58 of the third, to cap off the game scoring at 4-0.

The Bullies are in action tomorrow in Wheeling to face the Wheeling Nailers at 2:00p.m. Bullies return to Boardwalk Hall to take on the Nailers at home on January 28th. Game time is 7:05. Join us at Boardwalk Hall for Coors Light/Molson "Wild Wednesday" including a hot dog and beer special for only $4. The first 2,500 fans in Boardwalk Hall will also receive a kazoo for National Kazoo day.
