
Par-A-Dice ECHL All-Star Sales Strong

PRINCETON, N.J. - With the ECHL All-Stars descending on Peoria in three days, the Peoria Rivermen are in the final stages of preparation for the Par-A-Dice ECHL All-Star Game.
"Our fans, our staff ... everyone is ecstatic and a groundswell is really
picking up in the region," said Peoria General Manager Bart Rogers. "There
is a tremendous amount of anticipation building up with the two-day event
less than a week away, and we're ready to make it happen. We can't thank
our title sponsor, the Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino, and our other corporate
sponsors, and of course our great fans for all their support."
Sponsored by the Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino and hosted by the Peoria Rivermen,
the 12th Annual ECHL All-Star Game and Skills Competition will be held at
the 9,919-seat Carver Arena at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Ill. The
Skills Competition will be at 7:00 p.m. CT on Tuesday, January 20 and the
game will be played at 7:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday, January 21. The Rivermen
are also hosting the first-ever ECHL All-Star Fan Fest to be held in the
Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino Ballroom following the 2004 Par-A-Dice ECHL
All-Star Game on Wednesday, January 21.
The Rivermen have sold over 5,600 tickets for the Skills Competition on
Tuesday and more than 6,400 tickets for the All-Star Game on Wednesday.
Fans can still purchase tickets for the All-Star Game and Skills
Competition are available by telephone at (309) 676-1040, x106. All-Star
Fan Fest tickets are $20 and there are only 400 tickets available. The Fan
Fest will include complimentary hors d'oeuvres, a "Meet and Greet" with
All-Star players and coaches, and a limited-edition commemorative All-Star
gift. Individuals interested in purchasing tickets should telephone the
Rivermen Office Manager Brandi Bordner at (309) 676-1040, extension 101.
The National Hockey League's Stanley Cup and the ECHL's Kelly Cup will be
displayed and fans will have the opportunity to have their pictures taken
with both trophies at the Skills Competition, the ECHL Premier Ice Odyssey
Reception, the All-Star Game, and at the inaugural All-Star Fan Fest.
