Charge to Open Fifth Season in Canton November 14

The Canton Charge, presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, will tip off their 2015-16 campaign at home against the Maine Red Claws (Boston Celtics affiliate) on Saturday, November 14th at 7:00 p.m. The schedule of games for all 19 teams was announced by the NBA Development League office today.

To celebrate the Charge's fifth season as a part of the Canton community, November 14th"s opening day will begin with the inaugural Charge 5K race (www.charge5k.com) throughout historic Downtown beginning at 9:00 a.m. Leading into tipoff, there will be a FanFest full of activities & inflatable games, an exclusive collectable giveaway, the Charge Girls, and more!

]The 50-game regular season schedule consists of 24 home and road games, plus two matchups at the annual NBA D-League Showcase in Santa Cruz, CA from January 6th-10th. Of the Charge's 24 home games, 16 will be on weekend dates (four Friday, 11 Saturday, one Sunday). Now in the Central, division opponents account for 24 games on the schedule, while the Charge have 20 games against the Atlantic Division, three against the West, and one versus the Southwest.

The Charge, coming off of a season with franchise record-breaking crowds, will continue fan-favorite theme nights including Cavs Night, Faith & Fellowship Night, Youth Basketball Night, Fan Appreciation Night and more! Other popular promotions such as Sugardale Dollar Dog Days, Friday postgame free-throws, Kids Zone & Saturday postgame autographs presented by Contellation, and Family Days will return this year! The complete 2015-16 promotional schedule, as well as single game ticket information, will become available at a later date.

Inside the schedule:

- Canton's longest home stand of the year is a four-game set March 5th-12th, while they'll venture for their longest road trip of six games from January 26th-February 6th.

- Canton also has four separate, three-game home stands throughout the season, while they also have another long road trip over four games.

- The Charge will also play in seven back-to-back game sets, with one at home, three on the road and three split. Canton played in 15 back-to-back games last year.

- The Charge will go international for the first time ever when they visit the Raptors 905 (Toronto Raptors affiliate) on Sunday, February 21st at 6:00 p.m. Raptors 905 are the first international franchise in D-League history.
