PORTLAND, ME - The Cleveland Charge (6-7) battled to defeat the Maine Celtics (6-7), 110-103, at the Portland Expo on Saturday night to split a two-game series and end a string of seven consecutive road games at 3-4.

Cleveland's Aleem Ford scored 16 of his season-high 30 points in the second quarter, finishing 5-of-11 from three-point range and with seven rebounds in 44 minutes. Zhaire Smith hit 5-of-9 threes en route to tying his season-best with 23 points to pair with six rebounds in 44 minutes. Sharife Cooper posted his fifth double-double of the season, scoring 23 points and dishing 14 assists with nine boards and two steals in 41 minutes. Gabe Osabuohien netted a season-high 16 points with a pair of steals in 29 minutes.

Maine was paced by a trio of 20+ point scorers: Drew Peterson scored 26 points with 12 boards and six assists in 37 minutes. D.J. Steward scored 23 points and dished eight assists in 32 minutes off the bench. Boston Celtics assignment Jordan Walsh scored 21 points and grabbed seven boards in 33 minutes.

The Charge are back home at the Wolstein Center to host the Greensboro Swarm on Wednesday, January 31 at 7:00 p.m.
